Tropical Paradise in a Box
The Pacific Northwest is particularly well suited for growing tropical pitcher plants (nepenthes) that originate from intermediate environments. However, they also appreciate a healthy terrarium habitat.
Below is an old reptile tank transformed into a tropical terrarium. It includes a custom built back ground, plenty of room for nepenthes to climb, and a host of companion plants.

A SANSI T8 grow light provides ample lighting for a variety of nepenthes, drosera, tropical ferns, bromeliads, a young alocasia, and a Begonia Exotica.
